Enabling Data is out
A book about why data and AI keep failing to deliver, and what the organizations that get it right do differently
I have been so busy with projects in the past week that I didn’t manage to find the time to announce the result of several years of hard work with my friend and co-author David Castro-Gavino: Enabling Data (Facet Publishing).
Some time ago, we both came to the conclusion that working in data and AI often feels like Groundhog Day. Every few years, we hear the same stories about how difficult it is to get value from the fantastic new technologies at our disposal, despite the huge investments and noise. And we know from our own experience that it is possible to do so. We set out to put together a collection of best practices on how real organizations organize themselves to get this job done, and the result is this book.
